"Hélianthes” by Mathilde Papapietro are foremost a colour – yellow: energetic, satiated, and solar. Sunflower petals expressed with graphic precision and acuity, naturalistic, arranged into visual compositions / structures. They beckon with the atmosphere of Provenance, where the artist was born. These are the colours of intensity, joy, and life in its prime.

The current exhibition is the premier of the latest Mathilde Papapietro graphic cycle, and at the same time, her first individual presentation in the Flying Gallery. Mathilde Papapietro (born 1967) is an artist with bounteous achievements, a participant of many collective exhibitions and individual projects in France, Poland (“Zacheta”, the National Gallery of Art , Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Centre for Contemporary Art “Łaźnia” in Gdansk). Mathilde Papapietro works with traditional graphic techniques, digital graphics, photography, as well as creating installations.
